Parcel named Bahrain's Startup of the Year 2025

Parcel — a delivery service connecting businesses to on-demand drivers — has been named a joint winner of Bahrain's second annual Startup of the Year competition, organised by Mumtalakat (the Kingdom's sovereign wealth fund) and Tamkeen (the Labour Fund).

The award was presented during a ceremony attended by His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, alongside Industry and Commerce Minister Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro and Central Bank Governor Khalid Hamad.

What this means

The competition aims to encourage innovation and help startups scale both locally and internationally. Winners receive direct investment from Mumtalakat under agreed-upon terms to support their growth journey.

For Parcel, the recognition validates years of work simplifying delivery for home businesses and SMEs in Bahrain — businesses that previously had to choose between hiring a full-time driver or losing customers to slower competitors.

What's next

Parcel will continue to expand coverage across the Kingdom, invest in driver tooling, and roll out integrations with the e-commerce platforms our customers already use.

"We're proud to represent Bahrain's growing startup ecosystem and grateful to the partners and customers who made this possible."
